Irish Air Taxi and Logistics Services
Revolutionising travel around Ireland using eVTOL aircraft,
providing a safer, more efficient and sustainable mobility solution.
OVERVIEW
IRISH TRAVEL REDEFINED
GOGREEN will provide passenger and cargo transport services throughout Ireland and beyond, using electric “Air Taxi” aircraft known as “eVTOLs”.
We will provide a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible service. AAM or “Advanced Air Mobility” is a new mode of transport which will greatly improve how we move ourselves and goods around the globe.
We will be integrating this new technology with existing traditional modes of transport to ensure a seamless, convenient and positive experience for our passengers, customers and the public.
WHAT IS AN eVTOL?
Evtol stands for “electric vertical take-off and landing” aircraft. These aircraft are already being flown today and are currently undergoing the final phases of testing and certification, with an expected entry-into-service in 2024.
Just as the automotive car industry is progressing towards electrification and targeting zero carbon emissions, the same is true for the aerospace industry.
WHY eVTOLS?
Green: An eVTOL or Air Taxi is a sustainable, zero carbon emissions vehicle. They utilise the latest battery technologies which already allow some aircraft to fly up to 250 kilometres at 200km per hour or more. As they are capable of taking off and landing vertically, the options for landing sites are greatly increased, offering unlimited use cases and ensuring a steady demand for viable and feasible services.
Safe: The regulatory bodies are ensuring that eVTOLs will be extremely safe as the aircraft will be certified to the same standard as an airliner, meaning that they will be 100 times safer than a commercial helicopter, and safer than driving.
Silent: The noise profile of these vehicles will be a fraction of that of a helicopter and eVTOLs will not be heard over the hum of city traffic. In cruise flight they will be practically silent and are not expected to cause noise pollution.
Cost: Air taxis will be very competitively priced in comparison to alternative modes of transport and the services will prove to be affordable for everyone. The costs to operate the aircraft will be such that it allows us to provide services at a price point that makes financial sense for passengers to use the facilities as a viable commuting option. Our aim is to help people connect.
SERVICES
THE NUTS AND BOLTS
On initial rollout, our service offering will largely consist of a ride sharing platform,
whereby passengers may book a trip on a scheduled service, similar to a regular
commercial flight.
We are developing a digital platform that will allow the public to plan with ease and as we
are integrating our system with current MaaS (Mobility as an Service) apps, the
passenger experience will be user friendly and hassle free.
The concept is based on the principle that there is significant time saving involved and that the service will be a viable alternative to traditional modes of transport. Therefore we will be operating from strategically selected locations (Vertiports) where there is currently high demand. These include but are not limited to:
- city-to-city connections
- city-airport shuttles
- cities-cbd’s-commuter towns
- rural towns and islands
- tourist destinations and resorts, hotels, golf courses, sites of interest
- cargo and mail logistics
- medical and emergency response assistance
- on-demand and charter services
We will be able to connect any two points on the island of Ireland with ease, greatly increasing connectivity and boosting the local economies. Our Cargo operations will
ensure speedy and efficient deliveries, whilst not using gas-guzzling engines costing us the earth. Mid-mile journeys redefined.
GROUND
INFRASTRUCTURE
“Where we’re going, we don’t need roads", or runways, but we do need Vertiports.
Vertiports will effectively be mini airports providing take-off/landing sites, charging stations and general passenger facilities.
We are working with our industry partners to identify and select the most suitable locations for Vertiport development and operations.
Given the advances in aircraft development and the confidence that the aircraft will be certified in the very near future, the authorities now consider the number one barrier to AirTaxi rollout to be infrastructure, i.e Vertiports.
Vertiports will be tailor-made to satisfy the requirements and demand in that specific location and will allow for swift hop-on-hop-off services. They will be built keeping in mind ease of access for passengers and will complement the surrounding environment and localities, allowing those communities an additional level of connectivity.
